Last night I placed a calendar on my fridge with May 8th as the beginning of my new adventure. I am once again going back to my morning routine of Gratitude Session, Meditation, filling my body with good nutrition and exercise.
This morning I was up at 6 am and had my Gratitude session where I basically give thanks to all I currently have and all my dreams as if they've already come true. I then meditate for about 30 minutes before getting out of bed. Then came my morning fluids to energize my body and daily suppliments of Fish Oil & Flaxseed, and my first bottle of water.
Out the door at 8am for my first meeting of the day, the Sausalito Chamber's BizX at Saylor's Restaurant. What a great meeting with the highlight being Sausalito's Fire Chief, Jim Irving explaining Measure D. Afterwards a few more stops before another meeting, this one to discuss next month's Hobie North American Championships hosted by the Sausalito Yacht Club. Should be a great event and I'm excited about doing my part.
By the afternoon with a clear schedule, I thought...gorgeous day for the beach, and that's where I spent two very wonderful hours with my book. Not sure about you, but when it comes to books, they have a way of finding ME, precisely when I need them, and I usually find the best ones at the Sausalito library. The one I'm currently reading is Elizabeth Gilbert's EAT, PRAY, LOVE. I haven't picked the book up in about 6 weeks with all the running around I've been doing. Today on the beach I opened up to Book Two - India. I had to laugh as I read the words, soooo appropriate for everything I just experienced the last few days. This happens so often now that I just smile and go with the flow.
This month of May is really BIG for me, LOTS happening. The Golden Gate Bridge 75th Anniversary is slated for later this month and there are quite a few events leading up to that special weekend where I can promote my latest book, It's Simply...GOLDEN: 75 Years of Inspiration. There is so much I want to do with my book projects and photography and now that I feel more 'settled' I'm excited about getting started.
I have been so blessed to have such a great support system who have guided me along this journey. Here's to ONE magical year ahead and all that it will bring. So who says, ANY day can't be YOUR New Year's Day? Just pick one and go out and live the life of your dreams.
